Welcome to EA and Beyond, an Executive Assistant blog dedicated to helping administrative professionals build successful, fulfilling careers.

I’m Emily Evans, an Executive Assistant and Administrative Professional with more than 10 years of experience supporting executives, managing complex projects, and creating systems that keep organizations running smoothly.

Throughout my career, I’ve worked behind the scenes solving problems, improving processes, and helping leaders focus on what matters most. One of my proudest accomplishments was leading a multi-state expansion project that helped a team successfully establish operations in nine new states by navigating complex compliance and licensing requirements. It was the kind of high-stakes, detail-driven work that taught me just how valuable strong administrative support can be.

Over the years, I’ve managed executive calendars across multiple time zones, coordinated travel and meetings, developed workplace procedures, supported proposal and RFP development, and built systems that transformed chaos into efficiency.

Why I Started This Executive Assistant Blog

After spending years in administrative support roles, I noticed that much of the career advice available online felt disconnected from the realities of the job. Many articles offered generic productivity tips but rarely addressed the challenges administrative professionals face every day.

That’s why I created EA and Beyond.

This Executive Assistant blog is designed for Executive Assistants, Administrative Assistants, Virtual Assistants, Office Managers, and remote professionals who want practical guidance they can actually use in the workplace.

Here, you’ll find advice based on real-world experience, including:
